I was on radio this morning talking wish lists. Written yours?

I was in my car this morning when I heard Mix 106.5′s Rosso and Claire talking about writing a wish list for the partner you’d like to meet. Given we touched on that topic in our chick pick this week, I phoned in to tell them about my spooky wish list experience.
I was 27. I’d just read Cosmic Love for the first time, and the ‘wish list’ chapter. I really thought about what I wanted in my Mr Right. I got a sheet of paper, a pile of coloured pencils, and I wrote it all down. And then I folded it up, stashed it in my ‘odds and ends’ box and forgot about it.
Years went by. I dated. I travelled. I fell in love. I had my heart broken. I swore off men. Then I met my husband, lifted my man ban, we got married, and one day soon after, while de-cluttering, I found my List. It was scrunched and old. The colours were a bit faded. But my heart skipped a beat when I read it – because it’s like a detailed description of my husband. I wanted a creative guy (he’s a singer/songwriter in his spare time). I wanted someone so committed, he’d move mountains to prove it (he moved countries to be with me). I wanted him to be in touch with his spiritual side (yep). I wanted someone who was kind, loved travelling, made me laugh, could talk to anyone, liked to socialise (yep to all). There was more on my list, much more. He fit it all, and then some. As I told the MixFM team, it’s literally like I wrote an ad for the guy I wanted to meet, and he fell into my lap. When I was ready for him, and he for me. Writing it all down years before, putting it out there, had helped, in some small magical way, to steer us towards one another. (I’m a bit new-agey like that.)
You can write anything you want on your wish list – and it doesn’t matter if you’re male or female. Anyone can do it. Want a guy who can talk about his feelings, who loves kids, who’s ready to get married, who has a big willy? Put that down. How about a woman who makes you laugh? Who’s friendly to everyone? Who’s as into sex as you are? Who has curves that could stop traffic? Write it down. Looking for a person who loves to travel, has big chunky man hands, is easy-going, faithful, great at massages, is a good cook, is honest, is in love with you, is sporty, saucy, patient, a non-smoker, likes to party, is a homebody, is monogamous, is open, is sexy, spiritual? Get specific. Put it on your list. Keep it somewhere close, so you can get it out and read it occasionally. Remind yourself of what you’re looking for. Remind the universe. And good luck!

~ We’re going to be revisiting this topic again next week – and launching something a little special. Stay tuned!

my friend just got married & i mentioned i recently found her ‘wish list’ in a pile of old papers. it describes her new hubby to a tee even though she wrote it 17 years ago aged 20 (they only met 3 years ago & she’s now 37) its the only copy left & i’m sending it to her in the US where they live. Wish I could see her face when she reads it!

I actually did hear you in the morning on my way to work.
It’s only when I heard it on the radio that I recalled the list and pulled it out that night.
I realised I have to be more specific and list the quailities in priority.
I wrote my list a few years back and since then, one amazing guy did come to me. To this day I say he is a Sweet Angel. We did not work out and I wish him all the best. So, I am still waiting for that “ideal relationship” to appear. I hope is not to far from now :) I believe the Universe will provide :)
