R.I.P Kristian Anderson, who lost his battle with cancer this week.

Happy New Year everyone. We hope you all had a lovely festive season. Sadly, our first post for 2012 is a sober one, with the news that Sydney-based husband and dad-of-two Kristian Anderson, who was suffering from bowel cancer, has died. Kristian and his cancer battle became famous following the release of a YouTube video he made for his wife as a special birthday present – and to thank her for her support during his illness. The video, which features a Hugh Jackman cameo, was watched over 400,000 times and even made it to the attention of Oprah Winfrey, who gave the couple $250,000 for medical expenses while shooting an episode of her show in Sydney last year. Our thoughts are with Kristian’s family – his wife Rachel and sons Cody, 5, and Jakob, 3. If you’d like to read Kristian’s blog, you can check it out here. The video he made for his wife is below.
